HUAWEI’s Pura 80 series has been made official. Of the four that came out, we’ll be focusing on the vanilla Pura 80 for this one.
The HUAWEI Pura 80 is the smallest in the series with a 6.6-inch FHD+ LTPO OLED screen. It also has a flat Kunllun Glass instead of the curved glass its bigger brothers have. The display has a high 120Hz refresh rate and HDR support.
Keeping the lights on is a 5,600mAh battery with support for 66W wired and 50W wireless charging. HUAWEI hasn’t disclosed the chipset they used, but did say it has 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.
For the cameras, we have a 50-megapixel main glass with a variable aperture that can go from f/1.4 to f/4.0 and has optical image stabilization. We also have a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto with up to 5.5x optical zoom.
Satellite messaging is also supported via Beidou satellites, which can now send photos.
All models will ship with HarmonyOS 5.1 and have IP68/69-rated dust and water resistance.
Pricing and availability for the HUAWEI Pura 80 are yet to be known.
