The OnePlus 15R, the company’s latest sub-flagship phone, has been finally made official.
As expected, the OnePlus 15R is a rebranded Ace 6T that already came out in China weeks ago. But due to some possible regulatory issues, a few of the specs have been changed.
For starters, the enormous 8,300mAh battery has been dropped to 7,400mAh for the 15R. The 100W charging was also dialed down to 80W from 100W.
On the upside, the selfie camera was upgraded to 32-megapixels from 16-megapixels. Also, since it’s a global model, it ships with OxygenOS 16 instead of ColorOS.
Everything else is the same. We still have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage. A 6.83-inch AMOLED screen on the front boasts a high 165Hz refresh rate.
The cameras on the back consists of a 50-megapixel IMX906 main sensor, joined by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide. OnePlus also kept the stereo speakers, ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and the IP66/68/69/69K durability rating.
Pre-orders have begun in select markets and will ship on January 15. The OnePlus 15R 12GB/256GB model is available in the United States for USD699 (~Php41,000).
