OnePlus has introduced its latest midrange phones, and we’re starting with the new OnePlus Nord 5.
The new OnePlus Nord 5 has undergone significant upgrades in key areas. For starters, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.
We also have a large and fast 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. It also boasts a Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection and 1,800 nits of peak brightness.
A sharp 50-megapixel sensor from Samsung is on top for selfies.
On the back, there’s a 50-megapixel LYT-700 sensor from Sony with optical image stabilization, and it is joined by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
A dedicated Plus Key is customizable to activate the touch, launch the camera, enable AI Translator, and more.
Aspiring photographers will also appreciate the RAW HDR and Real Tone features that have been carried over from the flagship OnePlus 13 series. The cameras are in a Samsung Galaxy-like vertical layout.
Another big new feature is the 6,800mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging. OnePlus also pledged 4 years of Android upgrades and 6 years of security patches
Philippines retailer Digital Walker has started pre-orders for the new Nord phones until July 20 at select Digital Walker and open_source stores nationwide, and online through their official Shopee store.
The OnePlus Nord 5 has a starting price of Php25,990 for the 8GB/256GB model. The higher 12GB/512GB variant costs Php28,990. Check out the pre-order freebies below.
