Along with everyone else, OPPO has also released its latest flagship phones in preparation for the holiday season. Let’s start with the OPPO Find X9 Pro.
The OPPO Find X9 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, just like the vanilla Find X9. They are one of the first to use this chipset, which offers 32% faster CPU and 33% better GPU than its predecessor. The most staggering performance upgrade is in the NPU, which is now 111% better.
Another big upgrade here is the battery. We now have a massive 7,500mAh silicon-carbon battery, paired with 90W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging. OPPO said it can retain 80% of its battery health after 5 years.
We also have an enormous 6.78-inch LTPO OLED screen with a high 120Hz refresh rate.
For the cameras, there’s a 50-megapixel main shooter that uses a 1/1.28-inch Sony LYT-828 sensor paired with a fast f/1.5 7-element lens and has optical image stabilization. What’s more interesting is that the camera shoots in full 50MP by default instead of the typical 12MP with pixel-binning.
The telephoto camera is even more interesting. It uses a 200-megapixel 1/1.56-inch sensor with Hasselblad tech and has a DCG-HDR (Dual Conversion Gain) feature with a 70mm lens and f/2.1 aperture and Prism Hybrid OIS.
Oh, and there’s also the Hasselblad teleconverter accessory. A long lens that attaches to the camera at the back, extending the zoom by up to 50x. Another 50-megapixel camera is on the front for selfies.
For the software, it ships with Android 16-based ColorOS 16 and will receive 5 OS upgrades and 6 years of security patches. Expect to see a bunch of AI features inside.
The OPPO Find X9 Pro is now listed in China. The 12GB/256GB base model retails for CNY5,299 (~Php43,100) while the top-tier 16GB/1TB variant comes in CNY6,699 (~Php54,500). Release details in the Philippines and other markets are yet to be known.
