The realme GT8 series is official and marks the brand’s partnership with Japanese camera maker Ricoh.

If you’re curious about that interchangeable camera island feature, read our realme GT8 Pro article. What we have here is the vanilla realme GT8, which has a fixed round camera island.

That island holds a group of cameras with Ricoh’s color technology and shooting modes that mimic the look of Ricoh GR cameras.

We still have a 50-megapixel main camera, but the 200-megapixel telephoto of the Pro has been downgraded to a 50-megapixel sensor. The ultra-wide camera was also dropped to 8 megapixels.

The chipset is also toned down from the Pro, but still a respectable Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, and has the same 7,000mAh battery. No more wireless charging, and the wired charging speed was dropped to 100W.

It will ship with Android 16-based realme UI 7.0 and will receive up to 4 major OS upgrades.
