Xiaomi officially launched the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. It is equipped with powerful hardware and an enormous battery.
The Redmi Turbo 5 Max is the first to use the all-new MediaTek Dimensity 9500s, much like how the vanilla Turbo 5 also got first dibs on the Dimensity 8500 Ultra. It’s joined by up to 16 LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and generous 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.
It is joined by a large vapor chamber cooling, which should also help cool its enormous battery.
The Turbo 5 Max has a 9,000mAh battery, which is very large and just 1,000mAh shy of the HONOR Win‘s 10,000mAh capacity. Of course, it uses silicon-carbon material that keeps it relatively thin and light at 8.2mm and 219g, respectively.
That battery is aptly paired with a fast 100W wired charger and regulated by Xiaomi’s own P3 fast charging chip and G1 battery management chip. The 27W reverse wired charging lets you share that battery with other devices and accessories.
We also have a roomy 6.83-inch AMOLED screen with 3,500-nit peak brightness, 12-bit colors, 120Hz refresh rate, and support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
On the display, there’s the fingerprint scanner and a punch-hole for the 20-megapixel selfie camera. The back has the 50-megapixel Light Fusion 600 main camera with optical image stabilization and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
It ships with Android 16-based HyperOS 3. Plus, an IP69K-rated dust and water resistance.
The Redmi Turbo 5 Max is now in China. The 12GB/256GB retails for CNY2,499 (~Php21,200), the 12GB/512GB and 16GB/256GB come in at CNY2,799 (~Php23,700), and the 16GB/512GB for CNY3,099 (~Php26,200).
