The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is finally official. We’ve already talked about the Plus and Ultra variants, so now, it’s time to look at the cheapest of the three, the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S26.
As many of the headlining features were poured on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, the Samsung Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus barely had upgrades. Both have almost the same size as before, with the Galaxy S26 having a compact 6.3-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X screen.
Charging speeds are still the same at 25W and 15W for wired and wireless, respectively. Although the battery got a marginal upgrade to 4,300mAh (from 4,000mAh).
The cameras are identical. We still have a 50-megapixel main shooter, joined by a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide. Another 12-megapixel sensor is on the front for selfies.
Of course, it will enjoy the new AI features the rest of the series has. Like the Now Nudge and Now Brief. It will ship with Android 16-based One UI 8.5.
Like the Plus model, it is powered by an Exynos 2600 processor in the Philippines, which is said to offer 19% boost in CPU performance, 24% in GPU, and 39% in NPU.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 12GB/256GB retails for Php58,990 while the 12GB/512GB comes in at Php72,990.
