Xiaomi has released the CW500 and C500 Dual Smart Cameras that aim to solve blind spot problems in smart cameras.

Both the Xiaomi CW500 and C500 have a dual-camera system, so you can monitor two areas simultaneously — all on a single device. The goal is to eliminate blind spots without spending extra money on two security cameras.

The Xiaomi CW500 is made for outdoor use. It has an IP66 rating to survive any weather. The fixed-angle camera is meant to see the bigger picture, while the second camera has dynamic pan-tilt-zoom adjustment so you can check corners and crevices.

It has a 2.5K resolution, f/1.6 aperture, can pan horizontally, and tilt 95 degrees. It connects to the internet using WiFi 6 and can be controlled using the Mi Home app.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi C500 Dual Smart Camera is meant for indoor use. It has dual 4MP cameras. Like the former, the base has an ultra-wide-angle lens while the top has pan, tilt, and zoom adjustment with a 58-degree horizontal angle.

It also uses AI to track movements and can distinguish pets from crying babies. It can also be controlled using the Mi Home app.
