Looking for a serious computer speaker upgrade? Check out the new Edifier S201MKII 2.1 that just came out in China, which offers major improvements over its predecessor.
The Edifier S201MKII 2.1 speaker has improved drivers, circuitry, and tuning. It now comes with a wireless subwoofer for a cleaner setup. Plus, you can freely position the subwoofer anywhere in the room for better sound.
There’s also an OLED screen and a decorative front for added touch. Plus, it comes with the latest Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity with LDAC support and support for two simultaneous wireless connections.
Other connectivity options include optical, coaxial, two analog line-in, and USB. You can customize EQ, access software updates, and more via the Edifier Connect app.
Going back to the audio, it has an 8-inch long-stroke driver for the wireless woofer, which connects to the main unit over a 5.8GHz low-latency link and a frequency of 44Hz.
The two satellite speakers have 3.5-inch aluminum cone midrange drivers and 25mm titanium dome tweeters with dual-magnet neodymium structure for better treble and faster response.
It boasts 150W RMS power with 15W from each tweeter, 25W from each midrange, and 70W for the woofer. The dedicated DSP chip managed everything.
The Edifier S201MKII 2.1 is now in China for CNY1,399 (~Php11,600). It should arrive in the Philippines soon.
