Huawei has launched its newest affordable wireless earbuds, the FreeBuds SE 4, introducing a major first for the brand’s value-oriented SE series. It is the first in the line to offer active noise cancellation (ANC), a feature typically found in more expensive models.

The HUAWEI FreeBuds SE 4 earbuds come with a multi-mode ANC system that can cut out up to 24 decibels of surrounding noise. Users can choose between three levels: Ultra, General, and Cozy modes. This flexibility lets you block out the rumble of a jeepney or stay aware of your surroundings while walking down the street. Three built-in microphones work together to make sure your voice sounds clear during phone calls.

The earbuds are fitted with 10mm dynamic drivers and support standard AAC, SBC, and mSBC codecs for reliable sound with most Android and iOS devices.

Their design remains familiar, closely resembling the previous FreeBuds SE 3. The earbuds is extremely lightweight at only 4.3 grams, promising comfort for long periods of use.

Battery life is impressive. With ANC switched on, you can get up to 7 hours of listening on a single charge. Turning ANC off extends that to 10 hours. The charging case holds additional power, providing a total of 50 hours of battery life. The case recharges via a modern USB-C port.

The earbuds also feature Bluetooth 5.4 for a stable connection and an IP54 rating, making them resistant to dust and water splashes. Basic music and call controls are handled through tap gestures on the earbuds.

The Huawei FreeBuds SE 4 is priced at £59 (Php4,200) in the UK. They will be available in classic White or Black color options.
