At the Gamescom 2025 event, audio company JBL introduced three new gaming headsets: the Quantum 950, Quantum 650, and Quantum 250. Designed for a range of players, the new models focus on professional-level audio, improved comfort, and a fresh new look.

The top-of-the-line model is the wireless JBL Quantum 950. It is built with brand-new 50mm carbon dynamic drivers that are certified for high-resolution audio. JBL says this technology provides extremely clear sound with very little distortion, helping gamers hear crucial in-game details like faint footsteps or weapon reloads that can provide a competitive edge.

A key feature is the JBL Quantum Spatial Sound, which is powered by a redesigned software called JBL QuantumENGINE. This, combined with 3D head tracking and active noise cancellation, is meant to create a deeply immersive experience. The headset also includes a significant microphone upgrade, moving from 4mm to a 6mm cardioid boom mic with AI noise reduction for clearer team communications.

For comfort during long sessions, the Quantum 950 uses a new “hammock” headband made with breathable mesh and memory foam ear cushions. Its dual hot-swappable batteries can be charged on the included Base Station, eliminating downtime. It supports multiple ways to connect: low-latency 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, or a wired cable.

The mid-tier model, the JBL Quantum 650, shares many features with the 950. It includes the same Quantum Spatial Sound technology, the new 50mm drivers, and the hot-swappable battery system. It also offers the same flexible 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired connectivity options.

For gamers on a budget, the JBL Quantum 250 is a wired, plug-and-play headset. It is designed to work with PC, Mac, consoles, and mobile devices. While simpler, it still incorporates the same modern design and 50mm drivers found in its more expensive counterparts.

All three models feature a new design available in black or white with purple and orange accents. The Base Station for the higher-end models includes dynamic RGB lighting.

The headsets are available now through the JBL online store. The Quantum 950 is priced at £299.99 (~Php22,200), the Quantum 650 at £129.99 (~Php9,600), and the Quantum 250 at £49.99 (~Php3,700).
