A new major data center has begun operations in the Philippines, built to support the nation’s expanding digital economy. The facility, called ML1 data center, is the inaugural project of A-FLOW, a company formed by the partnership of AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp. and FLOW Digital Infrastructure.
Located in Biñan, Laguna, roughly 35 kilometers from Manila, this site is the first of three planned buildings on a new campus. Once fully built, the complex will supply 36 megawatts of total power. The current phase offers 6 megawatts for information technology equipment.
Company leaders highlighted the project’s role in the country’s progress. A-FLOW President Sanjay Goel said the center shows their dedication to the Philippines’ digital shift, helping to position the country as a vital connection point for data in Southeast Asia.

Local government officials welcomed the investment. Biñan City Mayor Angelo Alonte described the opening as a pivotal event that would spur technological advancement and economic development in the region.
The launch responds to surging demand for digital services across the region. Industry forecasts suggest the need for data centers in Southeast Asia will triple by 2030. In the Philippines specifically, the market is expected to grow by nearly 21 percent annually through this decade.
The A-FLOW ML1 data center is designed for adaptability and security, serving a variety of clients from large cloud providers to local businesses. Its Laguna location was selected for a lower risk of natural disasters, and its infrastructure meets international standards for reliability.
