GoTyme Bank has stepped into the world of cryptocurrency with a new feature that lets Filipinos trade digital assets directly from their banking app.
The feature, called Go Crypto, launched nationwide last week. It allows users to buy, sell, and manage 11 different cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Ripple.
This move means customers can now invest in virtual currencies without needing to sign up on separate, external crypto exchanges. All trading happens inside the GoTyme Bank mobile app.

The bank stated that each of the 11 cryptocurrencies listed went through a strict bank-level review process before being made available to customers.
The Go Crypto feature includes instant conversion between Philippine pesos and crypto, tools to assess a user’s risk tolerance, live market data, clear pricing, and a separate account for tracking cryptocurrency holdings.
GoTyme also issued a clear warning to potential investors. It emphasized that cryptocurrency values are highly volatile and risky. Importantly, these digital assets are not protected by the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation, unlike traditional bank deposits.
