Jabra just announced a new product designed for small meeting spaces. The device is called the Jabra PanaCast 40 VBS, and it is the world’s first Android-powered video bar with a 180-degree field of view made for small rooms.
The company says this new model builds on the success of its larger PanaCast 50 VBS. It is made to be a more compact and affordable option for smaller spaces like huddle rooms or phone booths. As more companies adopt a hybrid work model, the demand for these types of solutions is growing.
The PanaCast 40 VBS uses a two-camera system and special software to stitch the video together. This creates a single, wide 180-degree view that can capture everyone in a small room. For audio, it has one speaker and six microphones. The company says its sound technology makes sure every word is heard clearly.
A key focus for the product was making it simple to use. Jabra claims the system can be set up in seconds without even taking it out of its box. It also has similar accessories with the larger PanaCast 50 model, which helps companies manage bigger room sizes easier.
The device is certified for Android environments and works with popular platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams. It also supports people bringing their own devices to meetings. Optional accessories include a touch controller and a detachable faceplate.
The Jabra PanaCast 40 VBS is now available in the Philippines for Php110,000. A bundle that includes additional accessories costs Php165,000.
