Samsung just unveiled the Odyssey OLED G6, the first OLED gaming monitor with a blazing-fast 500Hz refresh rate.
Priced at $1,000, the Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 combines the speed competitive gamers demand with the deep blacks and vibrant colors of OLED. Unlike older high-refresh-rate monitors that used IPS or VA panels, the G6 delivers both performance and picture quality in one package.

The 27-inch monitor sports a QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, a 0.03ms response time, and supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync for smooth gameplay. Its QD-OLED panel has a matte anti-glare coating, reducing reflections during intense gaming sessions. However, its 300-nit brightness means it’s best used in dimmer rooms, despite its VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 certification.
But the Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 isn’t just for gaming, as it’s also Pantone Validated and covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color space, making it useful for photo and video editing. However, it skips smart features like Samsung’s Gaming Hub or a remote, keeping the focus purely on performance.
