A chilling new video game born from Filipino folklore is quickly capturing the attention of horror fans. “Taguan,” a psychological horror experience from the independent Philippine developer Murushii Studios, has launched on the itch.io platform.
The Taguan game draws its name and core theme from the Filipino word “tago,” which translates to “hide.” This directly references the familiar local children’s pastime, hide and seek, giving the horror deep cultural roots. Murushii Studios is known for creating scary games that are steeped in Filipino stories and concepts.
