HoYoverse, the developer behind popular games like Genshin Impact, has officially revealed its next major project. The new game is called Honkai: Nexus Anima, and it is a creature-collecting adventure strategy title. The company announced the game by launching its official website and releasing the first footage of gameplay.

The game introduces players to a world of “Anima,” which are unique creatures that become partners to the game’s characters. Each Anima has its own set of abilities and personality traits, making them essential for strategic combat. The website already features profiles for some of these creatures.

Two examples were revealed. One is called Puddlipup, a creature that looks like pudding and can flatten itself or bounce very high. The other is named Taileep, a mischievous Anima known for playing tricks and charming both friends and foes.

Honkai: Nexus Anima is the next big game in the Honkai series, which includes Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai: Star Rail. However, this new game focuses more on collecting creatures and tactical battles rather than the action style of the previous titles. It will also feature characters from other HoYoverse games.

Earlier teasers hinted that well-known characters like Kiana Kaslana from Honkai Impact 3rd and Blade from Honkai: Star Rail will appear in the game, each paired with their own Anima companions. This suggests that HoYoverse is creating connections between its different game worlds.

A specific release date for Honkai: Nexus Anima has not been announced yet. The company has launched websites in multiple languages, indicating plans for a global release. The official website promises to share more updates, lore, and game features as development continues.
