Lenovo has released its next flagship handheld console, the Legion Go 2. It gains a more powerful processor and, sadly, a much higher price tag.
The Lenovo Legion Go 2 features an AMD Ryzen 2 or Z2 Extreme processor. It is based on the AMD Zen 5 architecture with 8 cores, 16 threads, and RDNA 8900M graphics. It is paired with up to 32GB of fast 8000MHz RAM and 2TB PCIe Gen 4 storage with support for a microSD card slot for expansion.
For the screen, we have a large 8.8-inch OLED panel with a decent FHD+ resolution and 144Hz variable refresh rate. It also comes with HDR TrueBlack 1000 and 500 nits of peak brightness.
Keeping the lights on is a much bigger 74WHr battery coupled with a 65W USB-C charger. Connectivity features include WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
Like the new Switch, the side controllers are removable, so you can play more conveniently with the kickstand behind the screen. You can attach the controller to an accessory to enable Console Mode or attach the right controller to a base for the FPS mode.
It will also support PC Game Pass and will come with a free 3-month subscription when you purchase a unit. The interface can consolidate games from Game Pass, Epic Games, Steam, and more.
Also, there is a fingerprint scanner on top and dual 2W speakers in a stereo setup.
Plus, the two beefy USB-C 4.0 ports support DisplayPort 1.4, so you can plug it into a bigger screen.
The Lenovo Legion Go 2 will be available in select markets this September with a starting price of EUR999 (~Php66,600).
