The next installment in the popular basketball video game series, NBA 2K26, is set to launch on September 5. And for those who don’t have a console yet, Sony is launching a new PlayStation 5 NBA 2K26 bundle.
The game’s developers promise a more realistic basketball experience, using machine learning to power new features. These upgrades are designed to make player movements and reactions smarter and more fluid. The game moves away from predictable animations in favor of real time reactions, such as players properly setting their feet and having more authentic collisions with defenders.
Some of the key new features highlighted for NBA 2K26 include improved Rhythm Shooting, where a player’s shot success depends on their tempo and the defensive pressure they face. On defense, a new Rebound Feedback Meter will help players time their boards better. The overall atmosphere of the game is also getting an upgrade, with more dynamic crowd reactions and in arena entertainment like dance cams.
The popular MyTEAM mode is receiving significant updates as well. For the first time in the mode’s history, WNBA stars will be available to play alongside NBA players. This means fans can build teams featuring phenoms like Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. New co-op modes are also being added, including 2v2 in Triple Threat Park and 3v3 on new beach courts. A 5v5 co-op mode called All-Star Team Up will reward players for both their individual performance and how well they play as a team.
For Filipinos looking to upgrade their console, a special PlayStation 5 bundle is on the way. The PlayStation 5 Console NBA 2K26 Bundle will be available in the Philippines starting September 18. Pre-orders will begin on September 5, the same day the game launches, at select local retailers.
The bundle has a suggested retail price of Php30,790. It includes a PS5 console, one DualSense wireless controller, and a disc copy of the NBA 2K26 Standard Edition.
