Filipino VALORANT fans are in for a smoother gaming experience as Riot Games prepares to launch a dedicated Manila server on August 14, 2025. This new server will significantly reduce latency, improve match stability, and strengthen regional matchmaking for the Philippines’ growing player base.
Over the past few years, most Philippine players connected to Singapore and Hong Kong servers, experiencing pings between 50 to 70 milliseconds (ms), with higher spikes during peak hours. The Manila VALORANT server is expected to slash ping times by 20 to 40 ms, ensuring quicker response times and eliminating frustrating input delays. This upgrade means shots will land faster, movement will feel more responsive, and competitive matches will rely more on skill than connection quality.

The Philippines has emerged as a competitive force in the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) recently, with local teams gaining international recognition. The Manila server will provide pro players with better practice conditions, smoother scrims, and stronger grassroots tournaments. Casual players will also benefit from reduced lag and a more consistent connection, especially during peak hours.
Riot Games will conduct a brief stability test on August 13 before the official launch. Players can manually select the VALORANT Manila server in their settings or let the game auto-connect based on their location. While matchmaking may still include players from other Southeast Asian servers when necessary, most games will feature local opponents and teammates.
