The Philippine government has officially launched a new digital platform called the electronic Certified Academic Verification (eCAV) system.
The main goal of the eCAV system is to make the process of verifying academic documents much simpler and faster. Before this system, Filipinos who wanted to work or study abroad had to get their school records, like diplomas and transcripts, verified through a slow, paper-based process. This involved several government agencies and could take a long time.
Now, the eCAV system will handle this entire process online. It connects the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and the Department of Education (DepEd) on a single digital platform. This means applicants can submit their documents and track their status through a single website, eliminating the need for multiple in person visits to different offices.

The government expects this new system to significantly speed up processing times. Officials stated that the eCAV will process applications in just three working days. This is a major improvement from the old manual system, which could take weeks.
The new online service is a key part of the Marcos administration’s broader plan to improve government efficiency and services through digitalization. It is designed to help the thousands of Filipinos who seek educational and employment opportunities overseas every year by making an important bureaucratic step much less stressful.
