Filipinos can now file reports against suspected price-fixing, market manipulation, and other unfair business practices through a new digital portal launched by the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC).

The antitrust body opened its online case reporting system to the general public recently to make it easier for Filipinos. The platform allows individuals to submit complaints and securely attach evidence directly via the PCC website.

This move replaces an older, more cumbersome procedure that typically involved face-to-face meetings and required assistance from agency staff to lodge a formal complaint.

The PCC is the primary agency enforcing the Philippine Competition Act, which addresses illegal activities such as cartels, abuses of market power, and anti-competitive mergers.

The system was developed with assistance from the Korea International Cooperation Agency. It is engineered to streamline the submission process, enhance data management, and reduce the time needed to review complaints.

The launch is part of the commission’s ongoing effort to modernize its operations through digital tools, aiming to boost transparency and strengthen safeguards for consumers and businesses. The public can access the new portal through the PCC’s official website.
