A new wireless internet device is offering a way to get home WiFi without a permanent contract or the need to install a fiber line. The Smart 5G Max Home WiFi router is designed to provide an immediate internet connection for a wide range of users, from students in dorms to families working from home.

The product is powered by Smart’s 5G network and is marketed as an easy, “plug-and-play” solution. It is particularly aimed at those living in areas where fiber optic cables are not available, as it requires no drilling or complex setup.

For a limited time, the Smart 5G Max Home WiFi is being sold at the half price, for Php2,495. It also comes with a complimentary 15-day unlimited data subscription. After the trial period, users can recharge their device with prepaid data offers to avoid monthly bills.

Several data packages are available. Families can opt for an unlimited 30-day plan for Php1,299. Students have shorter-term choices, like a 3-day pass with 15 GB of data for Php99, or a 7-day pass with 52 GB for Php199.

Small business owners, such as those operating neighborhood cafes and milk tea shops, are also a target market. For them, Smart offers a 15-day plan with 120 GB for Php499, and a 30-day plan with 250 GB for Php999. These plans can support operations like digital payments and customer WiFi.

The Smart 5G Max Home WiFi and its data plans are available for purchase on the Smart Online Store, popular e-commerce platforms like Shopee and Lazada, and at physical Smart Stores. Top-ups can be done through the Smart mobile app, various e-wallets, and accredited retail partners.
