Apple is overhauling its device protection plans with the introduction of AppleCare One, a new subscription service that allows customers to cover up to three Apple devices under a single plan for $19.99 per month. The service also expands eligibility to include older devices (up to 4 years old) as long as they are in good working condition.
AppleCare One combines the benefits of AppleCare+, including unlimited accident repairs, 24/7 priority support, and battery coverage, while adding theft and loss protection for iPads and Apple Watches. In addition, customers can add additional devices beyond the initial three for $5.99 per month each. The plan is designed to simplify coverage for users with multiple Apple products, potentially saving them up to $11 per month compared to separate AppleCare+ plans.

For those who prefer single-device coverage, AppleCare+ will remain available, though some plans may now cost more. Theft and loss protection is now mandatory for iPads and Apple Watches, raising the monthly cost for an Apple Watch from $4 to $5. However, existing AppleCare+ subscribers without theft and loss coverage can keep their current terms until renewal.
While AppleCare One is ideal for individuals with multiple devices, it does not extend to family sharing, meaning households will still need separate plans or alternative insurance options for each member.
For now, the service is limited to the U.S., with no confirmed rollout dates for other regions.
