vivo is set to launch its most advanced smartphone yet, the vivo X Fold5, in the Philippines this August, marking the company’s first foldable device to debut in Southeast Asia.

The X Fold5 stands out with its sleek design, weighing just 217 grams and measuring 4.3 millimeters thin when unfolded — making it one of the lightest and slimmest foldables available. Its durability is reinforced by vivo’s second-generation Armor Architecture, featuring a carbon fiber hinge made of aerospace-grade steel, which boosts toughness by 47.3% compared to previous models.

Built for real-world use, the phone boasts triple water resistance certifications (IPX8, IPX9, IPX9+) and IP5X dust resistance, ensuring protection in harsh conditions. It has also passed a rigorous 600,000-fold durability test and remains functional in temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius.

Powering the device is a 6000mAh BlueVolt battery, supported by advanced silicon anode and semi-solid battery tech, promising extended usage without frequent charging.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the ZEISS-engineered camera system, including a 50MP Super Telephoto lens and vivo’s proprietary imaging algorithms for professional-grade photos.

With its premium specs and foldable versatility, the X Fold5 aims to redefine smartphone expectations. Filipino consumers will be among the first in the region to experience it when it launches this month.
