Facebook is officially ending its Gaming Creator Program, the company told creators in an email earlier today.

According to the email sent to content creators, their individual agreements will end on October 31, 2025. After that, the dedicated partner support of the program will no longer be available. And by 2026, the program will fully shut down.

Facebook noted that creators will retain access to certain monetization tools, such as Stars and badges, until the program’s discontinuation in 2026. The email from the Facebook Creators Team acknowledged the move was “a significant change” for its partners.

This shutdown probably means that Meta is no longer interested in the gaming industry, where it once aggressively competed for top gaming talent against platforms like Twitch and YouTube. The company is now encouraging creators to explore other monetization options within its platform, suggesting that they could instead earn money directly from fans through subscriptions and from producing other types of eligible content.
