Fans of Pokémon will soon have a brand-new reason to visit Japan. On Tuesday, July 22, The Pokémon Company shared new details about PokePark Kanto, the franchise’s first permanent outdoor theme park, set to open in early 2026.
Located inside Tokyo’s Yomiuriland amusement park, PokePark Kanto will cover more than 26,000 square meters and feature two main areas: Sedge Town and Pokémon Forest.
In Sedge Town, visitors can step into the world of Pokémon just like in the games. The area will include famous locations such as a Poke Mart, Pokémon Center, and even a Pokémon Gym. There will also be a fountain and shops selling exclusive merchandise.

For a more adventurous experience, Pokémon Forest will let fans explore nearly 500 meters of trails designed to mimic the games’ wild areas. The forest will feature different terrains, including grassy paths, hills, tunnels, and rocky trails, giving visitors the feeling of encountering Pokémon in their natural habitat.

Advanced ticket sales for PokePark Kanto are expected to begin later this year, with the park officially opening in early 2026. This new attraction is set to become a must-visit destination for Pokémon fans from around the world.
