Reebok is teaming up with Sony to mark the 30th birthday of the PlayStation with a special set of sneakers. The new collection is designed to take fans back to the 1990s, when the original gaming console first hit store shelves.
The limited release includes three different shoe styles. Each one is linked to a major region where the original PlayStation launched. The designs mix classic Reebok looks with famous symbols from the gaming world.

The first shoe, the InstaPump Fury 94, honors the console’s debut in Japan. Its pump ball has the words “Press Play” on it, and the tongue is made to look like an old PlayStation memory card. It also hides a note about the system’s 1994 launch.

For the United States, the Pump Omni Zone II uses the console’s original grey color scheme. The laces have special tips shaped like the controller’s action buttons, and the inside tongue lists the 1995 American release year.

The third design, the Workout Plus, represents the United Kingdom. It comes with lace charms shaped like the circle, triangle, and square buttons. Inside the shoe, you can find a stamp showing its September 1995 release date.
Even the shoebox continues the theme, made to look like the original PlayStation console. Reebok calls the project a “time machine” back to the decade of grunge music, dial up internet, and the beginning of a gaming revolution.
This partnership is the latest in a series of pop culture collaborations for Reebok, following recent releases tied to shows like “Gabby’s Dollhouse.”
The Reebok and PlayStation 30th Anniversary sneaker collection will be available in mid-October. The shoes will be released in limited numbers in Japan, the U.S., and the U.K. through certain retailers and Reebok’s own website.
