Tech analyst firm Omdia released a report detailing the top brands that dominated the global smartphone market in Q3 2025.
Korean tech giant Samsung led the quarter of July to September by owning 19% of the market share. That’s 60.6 million devices shipped, boasting an annual growth of 6%.

Omdia said that Samsung has to thank the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7, and budget phones Galaxy A07 and A17 for its growth.
Samsung is followed by Apple with 56.5 million units shipped, owning 18% of the market and posting a 4% annual growth. This is partly due to iPhone 17 beating launch expectations because of its “improved value proposition.”

Xiaomi managed to take the third spot with 43.4 million units or 14% market share, with only a humble 1% annual growth. Omdia explained that it’s due to the state subsidy program in China ending, but was offset by the growth in neighboring markets.

Infinix, iTel, and TECNO, collectively under Transsion, owned 9% of the market with 28.6 million units shipped. They are closely followed by vivo, which shipped 28.5 million units.
As a whole, the market shipped 320.1 million units during the said quarter, a 3% year-on-year increase.
