Amazon has revealed the next iteration of its Kindle Scribe, and the biggest news is the addition of a color screen. The company announced the 2025 models at its annual fall event, introducing a version called the Colorsoft that can display soft, muted colors — a first for Amazon’s e-reader lineup.
Every purchase of the Amazon Kindle Scribe Colorsoft includes a stylus that connects magnetically to the device and a three-month pass for the Kindle Unlimited library. The tech giant is also rolling out new protective cases designed specifically for these models.

Physically, the new Amazon Kindle Scribe retains its 11-inch screen but is now housed in a slimmer and lighter body. Performance receives a boost from a more powerful processor that Amazon states increase speed by 40 percent. The updated front light uses tinier LEDs to provide a more even glow and reduce the size of the screen’s frame.
The Colorsoft display achieves color through a specialized filter and light system, engineered to be comfortable for extended reading sessions. A custom engine processes the colors to keep the writing experience feeling responsive. Amazon also assures users that the battery will maintain its long life, enduring for weeks between charges.

On the software side, a refreshed home screen offers faster access to notes and recent files. New intelligent features can automatically condense your written notes and allow you to ask questions about their content. A dedicated shading tool is also included for digital sketching and drawing.
The new devices will hit the market later this year. Pricing for the Amazon Kindle Scribe begins at $429.99(~Php25,000) for a model without a front light. A version with built-in lighting starts at $499.99(~Php29,000). Meanwhile, the color-display Kindle Scribe Colorsoft will retail for $629.99(~Php36,500).
