A couple of weeks back, Insta360 introduced its new drone brand, Antigravity. And with their connection to Insta360, it’s no surprise that their first product comes with the company’s signature feature.
Meet the Antigravity A1, the world’s first drone packed with 8K resolution video recording and 360-degree camera.
The Antigravity A1 features two cameras strategically positioned above and below its body, which work together to create a single image with “seamless stitching,” providing full environmental capture without any visible drone or blind spots.
Thanks to its 360-degree capabilities, the Antigravity A1 allows operators to focus less on directing the drone during flight, unlike traditional camera drones. Instead, users can reframe their shots during post-production, exporting multiple angles from one clip in any aspect ratio while maintaining high image quality.
Unlike conventional drone controls, the A1 is operated using Antigravity’s Grip Controller, which responds to hand gestures. Users can wear Vision Goggles to see from the drone’s perspective, tracking head movements to guide the camera simply by looking in the desired direction.
This innovative design means operators aren’t restricted to the drone’s flight path. With the Vision Goggles, they can gaze anywhere while controlling the drone with the Grip Controller.
Additionally, the A1 includes a return-to-home feature, allowing the drone to navigate back to the operator’s location.
The Antigravity A1 8K 360 drone is set to hit the market in January 2026. Pricing details and international availability are yet to be revealed.
