Cignal has entered the growing microdrama market with its new offering, Cignal Play Microdrama. Subscribers can now stream short, vertical-format series exclusively on the Cignal Play mobile app.

Microdramas, also known as vertical dramas, are bite-sized episodes usually under five (5) minutes long. These quick, engaging stories have become a global trend, appealing to viewers who enjoy fast-paced, emotional storytelling.

The first batch of Cignal Originals includes three new Filipino productions: My Father’s Last Wish (featuring Dylan Menor), I See You (headlined by Dimples Romana), and 3 Queens and a Baby (led by Christian Bables).

Alongside these local titles, Cignal Play Microdrama also offers a selection of international microdramas from Dashflix. All content is optimized for mobile viewing and can be accessed on Android and iOS devices.

The launch highlights Cignal’s push to provide diverse content across different platforms, from satellite TV to digital streaming.

Viewers can watch the first five (5) episodes of each microdrama for free. For full access, a Cignal Play Microdrama subscription costs Php20 per day. As mentioned earlier, the lineup includes both homegrown and international titles. More shows are expected to come soon.
