Google Labs has officially expanded the availability of “Pomelli,” a new experimental tool that uses artificial intelligence to help small businesses create professional marketing materials in seconds.
The tool is designed to tackle a major problem for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs): the high cost and difficulty of producing quality content. In the Philippines, where government data shows that over 99 percent of all businesses are MSMEs, the need for affordable marketing solutions is significant.
According to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), these small businesses are the backbone of the local economy, providing more than 60 percent of total employment. Yet many entrepreneurs and local vendors struggle to maintain a strong and consistent presence online. Pomelli aims to change that by using advanced AI, developed in partnership with DeepMind, to turn a simple website into a full marketing kit.

Instant “Business DNA”
Users simply enter their website URL into the tool. The AI then scans the site to identify its unique color palette, fonts, and tone of voice. This creates a “Business DNA” profile. Whether it is a bakeshop in Cebu or a clothing store in Makati, this ensures that every post and image looks like it belongs to the same brand.
Automated Campaign Creation
Once the DNA is set, Pomelli generates campaign ideas and ready-to-use assets. It produces social media captions and images tailored for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. The entire process takes less than 60 seconds.
Democratizing Design
For solo entrepreneurs who often face creative block, the tool removes the need for expensive design software or technical skills. It allows a small storefront to scale its marketing efforts and reach a nationwide audience with professional-looking content.
The arrival of Pomelli comes at a crucial time for the Philippines. As the country pushes toward greater digitalization and e-commerce adoption, the ability to produce high-quality digital content is becoming a major competitive advantage. By lowering the barrier to entry for digital advertising, Pomelli could help local businesses capture a larger slice of the growing digital economy.
Since Pomelli is still an experimental product, it is available through Google Labs. Filipino business owners who want to try it out can visit labs.google/pomelli for free.
