HONOR’s curious new smartphone concept, dubbed the HONOR Robot Phone, may be closer to a market release.
Numerous attendees at the CES 2026 in Las Vegas reported seeing the HONOR Robot Phone in the flesh and actually testing the prototype.
If you haven’t heard, the concept phone was first introduced last year and immediately caught the attention of many because of its one cool feature.
The device essentially has a DJI Osmo Pocket-like gimbal built into the back of the phone. It flips out when needed, then sits flush on the back and acts as your traditional smartphone camera when not in use.
While attendees were not allowed to touch the device, a HONOR representative demoed how the gimbal moves the camera in different positions.
We shall see the concept phone more in Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, this March.
