HONOR will launch its latest smartphone, the HONOR X9d 5G, at a launch event next week in Malaysia. The announcement is scheduled on Wednesday, September 24, at 3PM.

Ahead of the official reveal, the company shared details highlighting the HONOR X9d 5G’s sturdy build and improved imaging capabilities. The device takes design inspiration from the HONOR X70, which first launched in China back in July. It maintains that model’s rugged features, including an IP69K certification for water and dust resistance and a structural “bullet-proof inspired” frame engineered to withstand impacts.

Its most notable feature is the massive 8,300mAh silicon-carbon battery. For photography, the X9d will be equipped with a 108-megapixel primary camera that includes optical image stabilization, similar pixel count to the X9c. Other details like chipset, RAM, and storage are still unknown.

The new HONOR X9d 5G will be offered in two color options: Reddish Brown and Sunlight Gold. Pricing is expected to be around the same range as its predecessor.
