LG Electronics has introduced a fresh collection of Bluetooth speakers under its xboom brand. The new models, developed with input from musician will.i.am, are scheduled to launch globally this 2026.
The company confirmed that will.i.am, who holds the title of “experimental architect” for the project, participated in the product design and overall branding strategy. The common thread among the speakers is integrated artificial intelligence designed to enhance listening.
Each device employs an AI system that evaluates the music and the surrounding environment to automatically fine-tune the sound profile. Most models also include intelligent lighting that changes color and pattern in response to the track being played.

The flagship xboom Stage 501 is a powerful speaker aimed at social gatherings. Its specialized AI can isolate and remove vocal tracks from most songs for karaoke, and also modify the musical key. It provides approximately 25 hours of use on a single charge, operates while plugged in, and delivers 220 watts of audio output. Its unique five-panel construction allows it to stand upright or lie flat.
For extended outdoor use, the xboom Blast offers a substantial 35 hours of playtime from its internal battery. Designed as a contemporary take on the classic boombox, it features reinforced corners and an integrated carry handle.

Rounding out the series are two compact, durable speakers. The xboom Mini is a small, portable device with a 10-hour battery and an attached strap for hanging.
The xboom Rock, an enhanced version of a previous model, is shaped like a smooth stone and fits in one hand. It also runs for 10 hours and is built to withstand rough conditions, meeting several U.S. military durability specifications. Both small speakers include a standard tripod mount.
LG is yet to release suggested retail prices or a specific launch schedule for the new xboom speakers.
