Samsung has upgraded Bixby on the new One UI 8.5.
The Samsung One UI 8.5 update will be experienced on the new Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. This new update brings a couple of improvements, primarily on the Bixby assistant.
With the new update, users will be able to control and manage their devices while talking to Bixby with natural language. Want to keep the screen on when you’re looking for something? Just casually ask Bixby to “keep screen on while viewing.”
You can also ask it extended and specific questions, like finding hotels with specific amenities and features.
The new Bixby can also do real-time web research, so it can provide updated answers to your questions.
Apart from the Galaxy S26 series, the One UI 8.5 is also available in select older Galaxy devices in markets like the US, UK, Korea, Poland, India, and Germany.
