The new update builds on its predecessor’s Parallel Animation and introduces Seamless Animation that feels smoother and faster. A fluidity you can feel in opening and closing apps, launching the app drawer, and more.

Two core technologies make the update possible: All-New Luminous Rendering Engine and All-New Trinity Engine.

Project Breeze is a feature that optimizes the system so it runs faster on cheaper smartphones.

The update also introduces a facelifted design inspired by the interplay of light and shadow in natural scenarios that helps create a cleaner and more intuitive interface. Plus, you can set Motion Photos or videos as wallpapers with AI-suggested text styles.

Full-screen AOD is also introduced. Plus, the Flux Home Screen allows users to long-press any app icon or folder and resize it into different shapes.

We still have tons of AI features like the AI Portrait Glow, AI Eraser, AI Reflection Remover, AI Unblur, and a built-in video editor called Master Cut.

The update also offers better connectivity to Mac and Windows PC for seamless file transfer and screen mirroring.

More details and the update schedule for the ColorOS 16 will be out soon, so stay tuned for that.
