realme has started teasing the features coming to the realme 16 Pro series. One of them is kind of a big one, and it revolved around photography.

The company recently announced the realme LumaColor IMAGE, which will debut on the upcoming realme 16 Pro series.

realme developed the technology together with TUV Rheinland. As per the company, the new technology “highlights realme’s ambition in portrait imaging and reflects the brand’s ongoing commitment to making advanced mobile imaging accessible to young users worldwide.”

The LumaColor IMAGE will apparently allow the realme 16 Pro series to provide “best-in-segment portrait experience” and take “more authentic and emotionally impactful portraits” with layered lighting, rich atmosphere, and natural skin tones.

It will also boast a pioneering approach to light and color processing that’s unlike anybody else. realme said that “unlike traditional methods that separate light and color—risking overexposure or color distortion—the LumaColor IMAGE intelligently matches them, resulting in natural and harmonious skin tones, a coordinated person-scene relationship, and atmospheric lighting and shadow.”

LumaColor IMAGE boasts full-dimensional skin tone optimization and a more immersive optical depth-of-field fusion blur.

More details about the Luma Color IMAGE shall be revealed alongside the upcoming phones.
