While Samsung has reportedly already discontinued the first Galaxy Z TriFold just after 3 months, it wouldn’t seem to abandon the form factor completely.
Rumors suggest that the company is already working on a sequel to its first double-folding smartphone. A source from South Korea claims that the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold 2 will arrive by the middle of 2027.
It is said to be thinner than its predecessor, which is already very slim enough and just a bit thicker than the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which measures at 8.9mm when folded.
Reports also suggest that Samsung is developing a prototype for the first smartphone with a sliding screen, which is expected to be called the Galaxy Z Flide. It is expected to arrive in 2027 to early 2028, depending on how the development goes.
We’re definitely excited to see where these leaks lead to, so stay tuned.
