Sony has announced that it will increase the prices of the PS5, PS5 Pro, and PlayStation Portal.

The company cites “continued pressures in the global economic landscape,” for the move. The new prices will take effect on April 2, 2026.

Sony added in its press release that this is “a necessary step to ensure we can continue delivering innovative, high-quality gaming experiences to players worldwide.”

In the United States, the base model PS5 now costs USD649.99, the PS5 Digital Edition is now at YSD599.99, while the PS5 Pro is at USD899.99. The PlayStation Portal will now be at USD249.99.

We’re yet to see how this will affect prices in the Philippines. As of writing, the PS5 Slim is listed locally for Php30,790, while the Portal retails for Php13,195.
