Chinese smartphone maker vivo launched its latest operating system, OriginOS, globally in an event held in Shanghai, China. The brand also announced the rollout date of OriginOS 6 for its older devices.
5 years of smooth experience with Origin Smooth Engine
The new OriginOS comes with the Origin Smooth Engine, which promises a seamless and smooth system experience for its users. With this, users willexperience five years of smooth experience. All thanks to of its improved system core modules for a snappier, faster, and smoother phone even after a long time of heavy use. The said improvements include better animation system and touch response and quicker app response.

In partnership with Google, OriginOS comes with AI features such as Gemini and Circle to Search for innovative and smarter experiences.
Moreover, the new Origin Island shows real-time updates at the top of the screen and is visible even if you leave the app, which is an integration of Android 16’s Live updates. There is also the Copy & Go, a feature that offers suggestions such as copying a phone number, save or text a new contact, or adding a meeting to the calendar, and the Drag & Go, which allows you to copy and paste the photo to another app without switching.
On the other hand, you also get advanced AI retouch features that come with AI Erase, AI Image Expander, and AI Photo Enhance. Connectivity has also gotten better with the Office Kit and One-Tap Transfer.

Intuitive design
The new OriginOS 6 was designed to make users’ experience more intuitive than ever. This includes the new vivo Sans, a brand new font where you can adjust its weight, and supports up to 40 languages and symbols.
Vivo also improved its app design in iManager, Origin Health, and even has an immersive weather app. Another key feature is the Lock Screen Grid, which gives you flexibility in customizing how it looks from the fonts, widgets, and wallpapers.

With OriginOS 6, you get more security features for privacy and transparency. Meanwhile, the BlueVolt technology improves power efficiency and charging capabilities to keep the performance sustainable in the long run.
