Xiaomi’s latest Pro flagship phones are already generating buzz with their one cool feature: a secondary display on the back. Here’s the new Xiaomi 17 Pro.
Like the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max it came out with, the Xiaomi 17 Pro boasts a 2.7-inch display on the back with a sharp resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 3500-nit peak brightness. It surrounds the cameras, similar to Flip phones we’ve seen.

The camera layout is being compared to the latest iPhone Pros. In fact, you can apparently display the iPhone 17 Pros‘ design on the back so it will look just like it.
Having this screen lets you use the rear cameras for selfies, see notifications, control music, and more. You can also get a case with a working retro game console with controls you can use to play games.

The front has a compact 6.3-inch LTPO OLED screen with 3,500-nit peak brightness, DC Dimming, 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR10+, and is protected by Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass.
Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The large 6,300mAh battery is paired with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging; Xiaomi’s Surge G2 battery chip is also here. The 22.5W reverse wired and wireless charging are impressively fast.

The Xiaomi 17 Pro boasts Leica branding for its cameras thanks to the Leica Summilux lens on the 50-megapixel Light Fusion 950L main camera that boasts 16.5 stops of dynamic range.
Xiaomi also developed a new floating prism design that gives the 50-megapixel telephoto camera a longer zoom. They are joined by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel selfie camera.

The Xiaomi 17 Pro has a price of CNY4,999 (~Php40,800) for the 12GB/256GB, CNY5,299 (~Php43,200) for the 12GB/512GB, CNY5,599 (~Php45,700) for the 16GB/512GB, and CNY5,999 (~Php4,900) for the 16GB/1TB. International release details shall be unveiled soon.
