Akaso, a tech brand that specializes in action cameras, will be taking on the Philippine market by partnering with an exclusive local distributor. Their flagship product is the Akaso 360.
The Akaso 360 is going to be a good option for those who want an affordable 360-degree camera. It has a design similar to the Insta360 X5, but with almost half the price tag.
It can capture 360-degree videos with up to a sharp 5.7K resolution, albeit the frame rate is capped at 30fps. You have to dial down to 4K to shoot 60fps. You can also shoot with just one lens, but only with a 2.8K resolution at up to 60fps.
For stills, you can take 360-degree photos at 18-megapixel or 72-megapixel. It uses two 48-megapixel 1/2-inch CMOS sensors with an aperture of f/2.25. Photos are saved as JPG or JPG+DNG files, while videos are in MP4 with H/264 coding.
Akaso said it has a runtime of up to 120 minutes. A 2.29-inch touchscreen lets you navigate the interface, while the flexibility of the 1/4-inch mount lets you use pretty much any accessories.
Like the Insta360 X5 and DJI Osmo 360, it has an Invisible Selfie Stick feature, digital stabilization, horizon lock, AI subject tracking, and comes with a companion app available on Android and App Store, while the Akaso 360 Studio can be downloaded on Windows and macOS.
The Akaso 360 Standard Bundle has an SRP of Php13,990, while the Creator Combo bundle with an Invisible Selfie Stick, three batteries, and a charging case is listed for Php15,998. They are now available on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
