OPPO has provided us with a first look at the upcoming ColorOS 16.
The ColorOS 16 is based on Android 16 and will debut on the global stage really soon. It is first spotted on the latest OPPO Find X9 and X9 Pro flagship phones that just came out in China.

As per OPPO, the new software will bring improved smoothness, intelligence, and connectivity.
The ColorOS 16 will introduce the new Seamless Animation, building on the foundation of ColorOS 15’s Parallel Animation. OPPO claims that it will make every interaction feel instantaneous and seamlessly connected across the whole OS.
This next-gen smoothness is powered by two core technologies: the new Luminous Rendering Engine and Trinity Engine.
The OS will also have a new feature called Project Breeze, a dedicated optimisation initiative that ensures a consistently smooth and responsive experience even on underpowered specs.

New personalization features are present. Users can set Motion Photos or videos as wallpapers with different fonts or allow AI to suggest the perfect text styles to match the wallpaper. Full-screen AOD is also added.
For photography, ColorOS 16 brings a new AI Portrait Glow feature that improves lighting on portrait photos.

Master Cut is a new built-in video editor that offers cutting, speed controls, cropping, text, and music integration.
The new ColorOS continues to offer Touch to Share for other OPPO phones and iOS, and O+ Connect for advanced Mac and Windows integration.
OPPO will be unveiling the ColorOS 16 to the global stage soon, so stay tuned for that.
