OPPO has announced a major new initiative called Apex Guard. The plan is a promise to improve the quality and longevity of its phones.
Apex Guard is a three part strategy. It focuses on making hardware more durable, keeping software running smoothly, and improving customer support after purchase. The goal is to set a new, higher standard for how long a phone should last.
For hardware, OPPO is now using stronger materials. These include Ultra High Strength Steel and an aluminum alloy used in aerospace. A feature called Armour Shield is a new structural design. Together, these help protect phones from daily damage like drops, scratches, and extreme heat or cold.
The company is also improving battery life. Its new Silicon Carbon battery technology adds up to 400 extra charging cycles, which means the battery can maintain its capacity for a longer period before it starts to wear out.

To back up its claims, OPPO is working with independent testing firms. These include TUV Rheinland, TUV SUD, and SGS. They have conducted more than 180 different tests on OPPO devices to ensure they meet high quality standards.
OPPO knows that software can slow down over time just like hardware ages. Its new ColorOS 16 software introduces the first Unified Animation Architecture for Android. This is designed to keep app launches and screen transitions feeling fast and smooth, even after years of use.
The company is testing its phones by simulating very long periods of use. These aging tests simulate 48, 60, and even 72 months of usage. That is the equivalent of up to six years. To validate the claims, this rigorous testing is done at OPPO’s advanced labs at its Binhai Bay campus.
