Kingston has unveiled a new portable solid-state drive designed to end the hassle of carrying cables. The product, called the Dual Portable SSD, features both USB-C and USB-A connectors built directly into its body.
The Kingston Dual Portable SSD is shaped like an elongated flash drive, measuring 71.85mm long. Its compact design uses a metal and plastic casing to keep it durable yet lightweight at only 13 grams. It is made to be easily carried alongside other everyday items.
Buyers can choose from three storage capacities: 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB. The top-tier model is intended for users who need to store extensive video libraries, photo collections, or other large project files on the go.

According to Kingston, the drive can reach read speeds as fast as 1,050MB/s and write speeds of up to 950MB/s. Take note that this performance requires a compatible USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, and real-world speed will vary based on the host device and file types.
The SSD works with most major operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Chrome OS. It also supports mobile devices, though some phones and tablets may need a special adapter for a proper connection.
Kingston supports the Dual Portable SSD with a five-year limited warranty. The warranty terms are based on the five-year period or the drive’s remaining lifespan, which is monitored by the company’s own software that checks the health of the storage memory. The 512GB model starts at a price of 87.41 pounds(~Php6,300).
