In an interview, Department of Information and Communications Technology Undersecretary David Almirol Jr. announced the new features of the eGovPH app.
Almirol bragged that the eGovPH app now gives Filipinos access to Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, and Yakap programs. The app now also gives access to financial and medical support from the government.

The integration of local government units has also been improved as more than LGUs are already on board the app. With this update, users can conveniently apply for business permits, sanitary permits, construction permits, and more.
Almirol also bragged about the app’s new eGovAI feature, which he claims is a free alternative to ChatGPT.
eGovDocs is live now, too, allowing users to sign paperless documents, even without a pen.

In the future, the app will be updated to give Filipinos access to their diplomas, transcripts of records, and other clearances and certificates from the government.
eGovPH app currently has 36 million downloads, which the government claims already exceeded its target of 30 million by 2028. Now, the government targets 40 million downloads by 2026 and 60 million by 2028.

The government aims to end lines on all government agencies.
The DICT undersecretary then warns Filipinos against fake websites masquerading as the eGovPH site, which could be used for data fishing and can lead to identity theft.
