Apple is becoming more consistent in updating its budget-friendly iPhone line. Hence, we now have the iPhone 17e, just a year after its predecessor.
The iPhone 17e is powered by an A19 chip. Not directly similar to the iPhone 17‘s processor, as this one only has a four-core GPU instead of five. To compensate, it is one of the first to use the new C1X modem for improved connectivity.

We still have a 6.1-inch OLED screen, the same one found on the iPhone 16e, with the aging notch on top. It’s still capped at a 60Hz refresh rate. But on the upside, the protection has been upgraded to a Ceramic Shield 2 glass.
The cameras are the same, but they should process pictures better thanks to the newer processor. There’s a 48-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization and a 12-megapixel front-facing camera.

A big upgrade here is the support for MagSafe, which enables 15W wireless charging. The website also claims the wired charging is faster. You can get 50% charge in just 30 minutes using a “20W power adapter or higher.”
It is also IP68 dust and water resistant and ships with iOS 26 with Apple Intelligence.

The iPhone 17e is now listed in Apple’s Philippine website. The 256GB retails for Php44,990, while the 512GB is at Php59,990.
