Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has a new big-battery sub-flagship phone, the Redmi K100.
The Redmi K100 comes with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage. Xiaomi also included its dedicated D2 graphics chip and a large 3D cooling system.
A large 6.83-inch AMOLED screen is on the front, with a very high 165Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a very high 9,000-nit peak brightness. There’s a pair of speakers with Dolby Atmos support and a “Tuned by Bose” branding.
Easily its biggest highlight is the 10,000mAh battery, rightfully paired with ultra-fast 100W wired charging. Reverse-wired charging is also here so you can use it like a power bank. Xiaomi’s P3 and G2 Surge battery safety systems are also here.
For the camera section, we have a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 main camera with optical image stabilization, joined by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 20-megapixel selfie snapper.
It runs on Android 17-based HyperOS 4. You also get an IP69K-rated durability, WiFi 7 connectivity, and an oddly dated Bluetooth 5.4.
The Redmi K100 has a starting price of CNY4,099 (~Php39,300) in China and is available in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 16GB/512GB models.
